Interior Design Inspiration from Liberty of London

Interior Design Inspiration from Liberty of London

Liberty of London is interior designer heaven.

It's a quick turn off Oxford Street, and as soon as you see Liberty's iconic Tudor facade, you know it's going to be something special. Since 1875, Liberty has aspired to bring unique items to discerning clients. There truly is no other department store like it, and their reputation was built on their incredible art fabrics.

It's top floor is a loft like space full of unique wallpaper, home decor fabrics, furnishings and accessories to die for, and...a haberdashery department. How can it not be good? Their fabrics are available online and any one of them could easily be the cornerstone of a decorating scheme.

I loved looking through the amazing cotton lawn fabrics that are designed inhouse as well as toile featuring contemporary urban scenery by Timerous Beasties. There's a lovely little cafe where you can enjoy cream tea after browsing. Furnishings and accessories sold here are crazy goey eye-candy, so you will likely have developed a craving for sweets anyway. If you are in London, don't miss it. If you can't visit in person, make yourself a cup of tea and visit the website. They ship to Canada.

Do you have a fabric or treasure you picked up on a holiday and would love to know how to build a room around it?
